Talbot's surgery - about 4 months

On Tuesday morning, the Penguins announced that Talbot underwent successful surgery to repair a chronic shoulder problem, also his recovery could stop him play the game until November. At the beginning, the pain on his shoulder was serious enough to sent Talbot to the hospital and do the surgery.UPMC physician Mark Rodosky performed the surgery to repair Talbot's left shoulder.

Although the team has added Mike Rupp,Ruslan Fedotenko and Craig Adams,Talbot's absence will certainly hurt the Penguins'forward depth."He played hurt this year, even though it didn't look like it in Game 7," Talbot's agent Pat Brisson said, "It shows how much character he has. That shoulder was popping in and out."

It is regrettable to say that the Penguins should be used to having a key player miss the start of the season due to his shoulder surgery.
